Foods High in Lutein & Zeaxanthin
Food-first sources of lutein and zeaxanthin, including leafy greens and other colorful plant foods.
Leafy green vegetables are among the best-known food sources of lutein and zeaxanthin. A varied diet also supplies many other nutrients relevant to general health.
Practical food sources
Kale, spinach and other dark leafy greens are commonly highlighted for lutein. Other colorful vegetables and eggs can contribute carotenoids as part of an overall dietary pattern.
